Hello.  I’m Martin Rhodes, an independent consultant working in the UK.

I am currently supporting a number of UK MOD projects as well as diversifying into other non defence areas including leadership development and sail training.

I have a passion for performance improvement either with individuals or teams and am working with clients to leverage their strengths and move to the next level of performance.

I also work with the Helford River Children’s Sailing Trust as a sailing instructor, where we build confidence and comradeship in our young students through the ‘fellowship of the sea’.

This blog is a way of sharing what I learn in my reading and professional life.

Please help yourself to the resources here and on my website at:

Feedback is the ‘breakfast of champions’ so comments are gratefully received.

Very interesting. It seems we have some common interests. I am happy to be referred to you by our common friend Sun Tzu.. you can say so because I found your blog when searching for his name.
Please check a blog I am starting on http://strategicaction.wordpress.com

I wanted to let you let you know that we have chosen your blog as one of the best management blogs around.

  3. I love your site! 🙂

Experiencing a slow PC recently? Fix it now!

  4. It never ceases to amaze me the quality of good blogs such as this one, yet, you do not identify yourself as author! Who are you? Do you have a name? If so, where can I find out more about you, since you don’t say much in your About paragraph.

  5. I’d like to say thank you for the good work putting this together. I’d like your permission to link your blog to our site. We do similar work but we are focused on the much younger audience (16 years to about 22).

    Once again, thanks.
